Web Site Accessibility
This website has been designed to be accessible to as many users as possible. This includes users of screen readers and other assistive technologies. Great care has been taken to meet Section 508 Priority 1 and 2 checkpoints where possible.
Keyboard Navigation
To make this website accessible by keyboard, access keys have been created to automatically direct the user to certain links on the page. To use an access key the user holds down the ALT key and then the access key. After activating the access key the user then pushes ENTER to select the desired link. For example, from anywhere on this site a user can press ALT 1 and then ENTER to go to this sites home page.
What is an access key? An access key is a combination of key strokes that allow the user to focus on links in the page. Individual sites may have different access key assignments as no standard has been developed yet. This site as many others do offer a list of access key assignments listed on the sidebar of the accessibility page and embedded in the alternative text. To see the Access Key assignment in the alt text you just hover over a link and the alt text will appear. If the link does not contain an Access Key assignment then there is no shortcut for that particular link.
